About Us

This website was created by the Community Outreach and Education Programs (COEPs) of the Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) Center and Marine and Freshwater Biomedical Sciences (MFBS) Center at Oregon State University.

The goals of the Unsolved Mysteries of Human Health website are to:

  1. Link students, teachers, and the general public to the EHS and MFBS Center investigators and scientists at Oregon State University
  2. Provide accurate and non-technical explanations of complex research methods and instruments used at the EHS and MFBS Centers
  3. Increase student interest in the field of environmental health science by providing tangible, real-world examples of current research
  4. Increase the public’s understanding of environmental health science research
  5. Highlight research currently performed at the EHS and MFBS Centers
